Presentation Training
Essential Media Training Tips:

Whether you have to address a small group or an important industry conference, our presentation skills training courses are designed to help you work on structure, content and delivery. We offer full day courses with small groups of up to four people, and half-day short courses to improve the skills of those who already have some experience but need improvement and fine-tuning.

We also offer individual coaching sessions for senior executives who have a key presentation looming; in these circumstances we can offer detailed help and feedback on content as well as style. In all cases the aim is to build confidence as well as technique, helped by lots of practical exercises and video feedback.

Course contents will vary considerably, according to the size of the group and the levels of experience of the individuals involved. The focus in some cases may be on delivery, and in others more on content and structure as appropriate.

Among the points typically covered:

  • getting the structure right
  • is what you want to say what the audience wants to hear?
  • pitching the message at the right level
  • use of visual aids, eg PowerPoint: blessing or curse?
  • rapport with the audience
  • dealing with difficult or hostile audiences and awkward questions
