Understanding the media mindset – video

The second chapter of my new book The M-factor: media confidence for business leaders and managers, is all about decoding and understanding the media mindset. This is a subject that we always have lots of questions on during our media training courses – people always want to know what exactly the journalists are looking for. In Chapter Two of The M-factor we identify the seven interview types and how beneficial or risky to your organisation they are likely to be. Why do reporters so often seem to get it wrong – going off and printing something else, when you think you have told them exactly what’s what? What can you do about it? And are they only really interested in bad news?
